Its great to see that we are on the same page with our perspective on the new Jewish culture. With organization such as Youngish and Yiddish, Jews who would not normally come to Jewish events now feel welcome. Although the other Jewish young adult organizations in Philadelphia are excellent and definitely help to build an active young Jewish community, Youngish and Yiddish takes the hipster Jew and gives them a forum as well.
My prediction is that once the word gets out about Youngish and Yiddish, we will see more Jews crawl out of the woodwork. They will actively sip their maneschewitz martinis, chug their He'Brew beers and kick it to the sounds of Klezmer, Hasidic Reggae and Hebrew Hip Hop.

Youngish and Yiddish’s programs have given me a lot of joy. I struggle with what it means to be Jewish, and Youngish and Yiddish’s events have given me a way to learn about and celebrate parts of Jewish history and culture that otherwise do not receive much attention. I learn something new, feel more connected, and have a great time I come to an event. Thank you for doing this!

About the show with Shtreiml & the Fabulous Shpielkehs featuring Sara Felder
As someone who knows nothing about klezmer music, and really hasn't had any interest in it (thought I would go check it out last night after my trip to Prague, Vienna and Budapest, where I kept hearing about klezmer, klezmer, klezmer), I really enjoyed the concert last night. I thought it was great! Good music, and high energy.
I wanted you to know my thoughts, because I know people like myself are a big part of your "target market". Congrats on pulling off a great event!

About the Yiddish language classes
I have been attending the Yiddish class for two semesters...it's very meaningful to me because it has renewed my relationship with my grandmother and a part of her past that she thought was all but lost on the younger generation. She is delighted that I have also taken an interest in the written language, which is something she never had the
opportunity to learn.

Its always hard to make time to learn a language on your own, and its great to have such an expert teach the class (what a teacher Mark is!)…its worth it just to learn Yiddish curses!
